We maintain a ready inventory of copper slag which is best for blast cleaning of the surface of components which have deposition of either dust, old paint, dirt or rust on its/ their surface. It can not only be used to blast clean metal surfaces but also stone & concrete surfaces.
We accept customer’s operational demands & also provide guidance from expertise holders along with After Sales Services.
Granulated Sand Blasting copper slag helps in the process of surface cleaning of metal components and other materials which help to clean and remove thick & tough dust and rust from the surface. It is commonly used for the restoration of heavily painted steel bridges, ships and water towers. It is a disposable high-density blasting slag made from a by-product of copper production.
It distinguishes itself from light-weight blasting slag, due to its high-density property. Its bulk density and angular shape give it an aggressiveness that provides clean, fast-cutting action, considerably increasing production rates.Generally, the majority of its composition is iron oxide and silicon dioxide, formed when molten Copper slag is quenched in cold water. This cooling process fractures the slag into coarse and angular particles, making it an ideal blasting slag with optimal sandblasting properties. We have maintained the standard of highest quality level in the best possible manner.
Salient Features & Application:
Abrasive for Blast Cleaning & Finishing.
Copper Slag abrasive is suitable for –
– Blast Cleaning of mile steel and stone/ concrete surfaces,
– Removal of mill scale, rust, old paint, dirt etc.
When copper ore is smelted, the high temperatures melt the desired copper metal, but also melt impurities within the ore. These impurities, such as iron oxide, silicon dioxide, and calcium oxide, are less dense than the molten copper and float to the surface. This molten waste product is called slag. It is an economical abrasive material for surface cleaning and preparation.
